GENERAL INFORMATION

The fees given in the registration form include participation in the conference and any of its affiliated workshops, doctorial consortium, etc. There are no separate fees for these events: participants in these events must may a general fee; notice that there are special requirements for authors, organizers, and participants who need supporting letters for visa.

The fees cover refreshments during breaks, a volume of the conference proceedings, booklet with program, poster and demonstration abstracts, plus free access to wireless network during the conference. No meals are included except refreshments during breaks and a light buffet at reception 22nd August.

Author of any paper, poster, demo, etc. presented at CONTEXT or any of its affiliated events must register for the full conference, and payment must be received by the conference by the dates given; no cancellation is possible. Conference papers: 2 June, 2007, other events 2 July, 2007. At least one organizer, and any attendee, of a workshop or the doctorial consortium must register; no cancellation is possible for the organizer

The fees do not include: Lunches, proceedings for workshops and the doctorial consortium, and participation in the conference dinner. These items must be ordered separately in the registration form.

All fees payed in DKK; include proceedings of conference plus booklet with poster and demonstration abstracts. 100 DKK approx. 13.50 EUR approx. 17.50 USD.

Liability and Insurance: The Conference Secretariat will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference. Participants are recommended to arrange for their personal travel and health insurance.

ACCOMODATION

Hotel accommodation may be arranged by the conference using the registration form (below). Accommodation is only guaranteed when reserved before June 18, but availability is expected also until early registration date which is July 2. The following hotels are offered, but other similar hotels may be suggested if lack of space: CAB INN City in Copenhagen close to Central Station and with easy access to the conference; Comwell Roskilde a few km's from the conference (car recommended); Quality Hotel Taastrup between Copenhagen and Roskilde, close to train station with easy access to the conference and the cities of Roskilde and Copenhagen.

Reservations of hotel rooms must be backed up by a deposit payment, by credit card, of an amount equal to one nights accommodation. The deposit serves as a guarantee to the hotel for the first night and will be deducted from the participantsŐ hotel bill upon check-out. Hotel deposit can only be paid by valid credit card In case of cancellation or changes: Before 18 June the deposit will be refunded, less a hotel-processing fee of DKK 400. After this date no refund of hotel deposit will be made. Please note that all hotels are legally authorized to charge the entire stay as booked by the customer also in case of no-show. All changes must be made to DIS Congress Service in writing and not to the hotel. All bookings will be made on a first-come first served basis after receipt of hotel deposit, as long as DIS has rooms available.

Other options: Roskilde Camping only a few km's away from the conference. Youth Hostels: in Roskilde situated by small harbour, only a few km's away from the conference; Copenhagen Amager; Copenhagen Bellahøj.

REGISTRATION FORM AND HOTEL

Online registration is closed. Enquiries about registrations made already may be done directly DIS Congress Service; see address below. Concerning cancellations, please re-read tour cancellation policy below.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION is possible at the registration desk; payment must be made cash in Danish currency (there is an ATM in bldg. 01). Workshop proceedings can be purchased; conference lunches are not possible to reserve on site, but the central canteen is open.

VISA NEEDED FOR SOME COUNTRIES

NB: VISA SUPPORT LETTERS CANNOT BE ISSUED ANY LONGER BY THE CONFERENCE (20-jul-2007).
If you need a visa for participating in CONTEXT 07, or in doubt whether you need one, you should contact the nearest Danish embassy or general consulate at the earliest possible time.

For more information about conditions, etc., there is a good entry here; check out information for "cultural visits" rather that "bussines visits". You may also search more information at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Notice that processing time for visa applications can range from about two weeks and to 1-2 months in the worst case.

Supporting letters: VISA SUPPORT LETTERS CANNOT BE ISSUED ANY LONGER BY THE CONFERENCE (20-jul-2007). If you need a letter to document your intended participation in the conference, send an email to the organization chair. A letter may only be issued when conference registration has been made and payment is completed and verified by the conference; no refund is possible when a letter has been issued. The conference maintains the right to refuse issuing a letter and return the payment at your cost and risk, and without stating a reason. Expect that it may take several days for the letter to be sent and reach you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Pre-registered participants who are unable to attend the Conference may ask to have their paid fees refunded less a processing fee of DKK 300 and possible banking costs provided written notice of non-attendance (by letter or fax) is received by the Conference Bureau (see below) before 10 August, 2007. If cancellation is made after this date no refund of fee can be expected. All refunds will be processed after the Conference.
Notice that cancellation is not possible for authors with papers included in the proceedings of the conference or any of its associated events, nor when a visa supporting letter has been issued.
